PISA 국제 학업성취도 평가 2025 결과
경제협력개발기구(OECD)가 주관하여 전 세계 91개 국가·경제권이 참여한 PISA 2025(국제 학업성취도 평가)가 2025년 시행되었으며 주요 영역별 상위 순위 결과가 9월 8일 발표되었다.
홍콩 학생들은 PISA 2025의 "디지털 세상에서의 학습"에서 국제 평균 500점을 크게 웃도는 545점을 기록했다. 수학(522점), 과학(496점), 모국어 읽기(480점) 등 핵심 영역에서도 각 부문의 국제 평균을 모두 상회하는 성적을 거두었다.
디지털 역량 및 교육적 결실: 참여 학생의 40% 이상이 높은 숙련도 수준에 도달하여 중·고급 프로그래밍 및 모델링, 컴퓨팅 논리 분석 능력을 입증했으며, 이는 STEAM 교육의 가시적인 결실로 평가된다.
전 세계 91개 국가·경제권이 참여한 이번 평가에서 홍콩, 대한민국, 중국(B-S-J-Z)은 주요 영역 전반에서 최상위권의 성적을 기록하며 우수한 학업 성취도를 보였다.
1. 읽기 (Reading)
1위: 싱가포르 (535점)
2위: 중국(B-S-J-Z) (527점)
3위: 대만 (508점)
4위: 일본 (503점)
5위: 마카오 (501점)
6위: 대한민국 (501점)
국제 평균: 461점
중국(B-S-J-Z)이 2위, 대한민국이 6위를 기록하여 두 국가 모두 최상위권에 이름을 올렸다.
2. 수학 (Mathematics)
1위: 중국(B-S-J-Z) (612점)
2위: 싱가포르 (563점)
3위: 마카오 (549점)
4위: 대만 (546점)
5위: 일본 (525점)
6위: 대한민국 (522점)
7위: 홍콩 (522점)
국제 평균: 463점
중국(B-S-J-Z)이 1위, 대한민국이 6위, 홍콩이 7위를 기록하여 세 국가 및 지역이 모두 최상위권 성적을 보였다.
3. 과학 (Science)
1위: 중국(B-S-J-Z) (597점)
2위: 싱가포르 (560점)

중국(B-S-J-Z)이 1위, 대한민국이 7위를 기록하여 두 국가 모두 최상위권에 포함되었다.
4. 혁신 영역: 디지털 세상에서의 학습 (Learning in the Digital World)
이 영역은 고숙련도 비율이 높은 국가 교육 시스템을 기준으로 평가되었으며, 순위는 다음과 같다.

2위 싱가포르(563점),
3위 중국(560점),
4위 일본(557점),
5위 대만(551점),
6위 홍콩(545점),
7위 에스토니아(541점),
8위 대한민국(538점)
홍콩과 대한민국이 모두 최상위권 그룹에 속하여 디지털 리터러시 역량이 뛰어난 것으로 평가되었다.
전반적으로 중국(B-S-J-Z)과 싱가포르가 전 영역에서 최상위권을 주도하는 가운데, 한국, 홍콩 등 동아시아 국가 및 지역들이 수학, 과학, 디지털 등에서 전반적으로 국제 평균을 크게 웃도는 우수한 성적을 거두었다.
홍콩은 특히 수학과 디지털 리터러시 영역에서, 대한민국은 읽기, 수학, 과학, 디지털 리터러시 전 영역에서, 중국(B-S-J-Z)은 전 영역에서 세계 최고 수준의 학업 성취도를 입증했다.
Results of PISA 2025
The PISA 2025 (International Student Assessment), organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and involving 91 countries and economic blocs worldwide, was administered in 2025, and the top rankings by major domain were announced on September 8.
Hong Kong students recorded 545 points in the "Learning in the Digital World" section of PISA 2025, significantly exceeding the international average of 500 points. They also achieved scores that surpassed the international averages in core domains such as Mathematics (522 points), Science (496 points), and Reading in One's Native Language (480 points).
Digital Competence and Educational Outcomes: More than 40% of participating students reached a high level of proficiency, demonstrating intermediate and advanced programming, modeling, and computational logic analysis skills; this is considered a tangible outcome of STEAM education.
In this assessment involving 91 countries and economic blocs worldwide, Hong Kong, South Korea, and China (B-S-J-Z) demonstrated excellent academic achievement by recording top-tier scores across major domains.

This area was evaluated based on national education systems with a high proportion of high-skilled learners, and the rankings are as follows:

5th Taiwan (551 points),
6th Hong Kong (545 points),
7th Estonia (541 points),
8th South Korea (538 points)
Both Hong Kong and South Korea belonged to the top tier group, demonstrating outstanding digital literacy capabilities.
Overall, while China (B-S-J-Z) and Singapore led the top tier across all domains, East Asian countries and regions such as South Korea and Hong Kong achieved excellent results in mathematics, science, and digital literacy, significantly exceeding the international average.
Hong Kong demonstrated world-class academic achievement particularly in mathematics and digital literacy, South Korea in reading, mathematics, science, and digital literacy across all domains, and China (B-S-J-Z) in all domains.
